These terms may be updated from time to time. Venue policies and reasonable staff directions may apply alongside them, so please check the current version before visiting or making arrangements.

01 / Venue access

Scope, access and venue directions

01

Hospitality spaces covered

VelvetTableHouse may offer contemporary Australian dining, cocktails, late-night hospitality, the Card Room, Poker Lounge, live poker tables, Texas Hold’em activity and private gatherings. The particular spaces, service format and availability may vary across service periods and events. In these terms, offline poker and live poker refer to physical, face-to-face play at the venue rather than a remote or digital experience.

02

Staff directions and safety

Guests are asked to follow reasonable directions from venue staff about safety, service, seating, room access, table operation and the respectful use of shared spaces. From time to time, staff may need to manage access, seating or the flow between dining and poker areas to support service, comfort and the orderly operation of the venue.

03

Current information

Menus, event details, tournament poker programming, poker nights and availability can change. If a detail matters to your plans, please confirm it with the venue before attending or arranging your evening. This is particularly useful where dining, a Card Room visit or a live-table experience is part of the same occasion. Contact Us for current practical information.

02 / Bookings and hospitality

Planning dinner, cocktails or a group visit

Booking requests

A request is the beginning of an arrangement, not its confirmation. Reservations, table requests and event enquiries are subject to availability and confirmation by the venue. When making an enquiry, please provide information that is accurate and relevant to the arrangement you are seeking. This helps VelvetTableHouse consider your intended dining, poker or group experience with appropriate care.

Dining → Offline poker

Dining and cocktails

Dining and cocktail service take place within a shared hospitality setting. We ask guests to treat staff, fellow diners and the venue with consideration throughout the evening. A visit may move from dinner or cocktails toward tournament poker or the Card Room, but programming and access are not promised by that transition. Please remain attentive to staff guidance and the comfort of people using nearby spaces.

Changes to arrangements

If your attendance plans change, please contact VelvetTableHouse as early as practicable. The venue may need to adjust seating or timing for service, safety or event operations. For poker-specific arrangements, including intended Card Room attendance or table enquiries, please contact the Card Room so the relevant team can provide current guidance.

03 / Card Room participation

Physical poker, thoughtfully hosted

Physical poker only

The Card Room is a face-to-face environment for offline poker, live poker and physical poker tables. Room access and table participation are managed in person, with poker players, dealers and table staff helping maintain an orderly, welcoming experience. The Poker Lounge is part of a shared hospitality venue, and its atmosphere relies on consideration for the people playing, observing, dining and working nearby.

Real poker. Real tables. Face-to-face.

Table etiquette

Joining a table

Please wait for table guidance, follow seat and participation instructions, and respect the pace and order of live tables. Where a buy-in process applies, follow staff guidance so participation can be managed consistently with the table format. A request to join a table does not guarantee a seat; access and seating are arranged in person according to current venue operations.

Live table procedures

Texas Hold’em and tournament poker

Texas Hold’em, Texas Hold’em tournaments, poker nights and tournament poker may have format-specific instructions, timing or table procedures communicated by staff. This information supports the smooth operation of the event rather than providing game strategy. Guests taking part must follow announced tournament procedures and reasonable venue directions as they apply to the live table.

Shared composure

Respectful table conduct

Poker players and guests must act respectfully and avoid disruptive behaviour that affects face-to-face play, nearby diners, staff or other visitors. The Card Room is intended to remain composed and welcoming. Staff may address behaviour that is inconsistent with a safe and respectful environment, with consideration for the needs of the room and everyone using it. Explore more about Offline Poker.

04 / Shared room standards

Conduct, care and venue property

Respect for people

All guests are asked to treat team members, diners, poker players and visitors with respect, including during busy service periods and live-table activity. Harassment, threatening conduct and disruption are not acceptable in a venue intended to be safe and welcoming. Consideration for others helps dining and offline poker sit comfortably within the same shared room.

Care for the room

Please take reasonable care around dining settings, cocktail service, furniture, poker tables, cards, neutral chips and other venue property. These are physical elements of the hospitality and table experience. Guests should use them as directed and avoid conduct likely to interrupt service, damage shared equipment or diminish the comfort of others.

Management response

Venue staff may take reasonable steps to protect guests, staff, property and the enjoyment of the space, including addressing conduct that does not meet venue expectations. This approach applies across dining, cocktail and Card Room areas. VelvetTableHouse aims to handle practical issues calmly, professionally and with regard for the shared environment.

05 / Private experiences

Private poker experiences and group hosts

Planning a private experience

Private poker experiences, group dining and Card Room arrangements are hosted hospitality occasions subject to discussion, availability, confirmation and any event-specific information provided by the venue. VelvetTableHouse may consider intended timing, dining, room use and table preferences, without promising particular inclusions. If a high roller atmosphere is discussed, it describes the desired style and occasion, not a financial outcome or guarantee.

Host responsibilities

The person making an enquiry or arranging a group should communicate relevant attendance details to their guests and support compliance with venue directions. This includes helping dining guests and poker players understand the expected flow of the evening, respectful shared-room conduct and any information given for the relevant Card Room or hospitality arrangement. Read more about Private Poker Experiences.

06 / Responsibility and information

Responsible entertainment, privacy and communications

Responsible entertainment

A considered evening

Offline poker and hospitality should be approached responsibly. If you need practical support, would prefer to step away from participation or have a question about the room, please speak with a member of staff. Take your seat in the Poker Lounge only when it suits your evening and comfort; the venue’s purpose is a measured, face-to-face hospitality experience rather than pressure to participate.

Personal details

Privacy and personal details

Information provided in an enquiry or booking context is handled in accordance with the venue’s Privacy Policy. That policy provides the relevant detail about privacy matters. These terms do not replace it or repeat its contents, and visitors should review the policy where they want further information before sharing personal details.

Guest comfort

Photography and communications

Please respect the privacy and comfort of other visitors in dining and Card Room spaces. Follow staff guidance about photography, recording or communications within the venue, particularly where face-to-face play, service or another guest’s experience may be affected. This allows staff to apply practical discretion to the conditions of the room without assuming a blanket rule for every occasion.

07 / General provisions

Changes, interpretation and terms enquiries

Updates

VelvetTableHouse may revise these terms from time to time. Please review the current version before a visit, booking or Card Room enquiry, especially where your plans involve dining, offline poker or a private experience. Current terms are intended to give visitors a clear guide to the venue’s shared expectations.

If a term cannot apply

If one part of these terms cannot apply in a particular circumstance, the remaining parts continue where permitted. The document should be read as a practical whole, with venue directions and relevant policies helping explain how an evening is hosted.
